Avatar! Over all impression

Last week I watched Avatar in its last five episodes. The story is truly remarkable. I thought he was really going to end the fire lord Ozai’s life. But to think that taking away his fire bending skills is possible it’s twist that I did not anticipate. Since in the past avatar they all killed their enemy, but for Aang it’s really heartwarming, I even couldn’t stop my tears from falling, and it is so amazing.

Toph, Katara, Zuko, Soka and the others are really made themselves into extraordinary characters. The play watch was also cool, I never seen such series as that, putting a play about the series itself. It is very silly but it really made sense. It makes the character realizes their potentials, on how to deal with every serious situation and by watching themselves, they knew that the play was just a mere narration of their life depending on how the director wants to portray.

Moving on, ever since they knew the comet would come, and the fire country would be unbeatable, Aang was being paranoid on how to defeat the fire lord, and worse is to kill him to end the war, and he will fail to do it his friends and the people around them will be in great danger. Even the past Avatar did their responsibility and ended up with killing their enemy but Aang don’t want it to. Fortunately that Lion turtle just came out of nowhere, and give him the wisdom.

Furthermore, as Aang faces the fire lord, he still hesitant to end his life, he even reaches the avatar state just to defend himself. By the help of the lion turtle’s wisdom he realizes that he still could do the most effective way to defeat their enemy without killing them. That event was really surprising, I never thought he do that. I was really looking forward on defeating the fire lord, or critically injured him to end their fight, but since it ended up like that I guess that the end of it. I was really hoping that they will make it as open ended and somehow made a sequel. But is also a good thing that it ended up like that, and for sure the viewers were really satisfied. As how it ends, it was clearly a happy ending.

Rating: 9 out of 10… a very impressive western animated series. It was really a breakthrough for the western animator. If you guys haven’t watch the whole series you should watch it again… here’s a link… enjoy the series, just don’t pirate the series ok. And thanks for avatarbending they give me a chance to watch the series.

Avatar: The last airbender

I know this is not an anime, but the good thing is that Avatar is a very interesting western cartoon.
Avatar is not considered an anime because of its American origin; one review has commented that "Avatar blurs the line between anime and (US) domestic cartoons until it becomes irrelevant." Avatar has many features of anime, such as having a different color palette from other animated shows. -Read more

Anyway, before watching the third book of the Avatar lets first talk about the story.
Avatar: The Last Airbender takes place in a fantasy world, home to humans, fantastic animals, and supernatural spirits. Human civilization is divided into four nations—the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Air Nomads, and the Fire Nation. Within each nation exists an order called “Benders” who have the ability to manipulate their native element. These Bending arts combine a certain style of martial arts and elemental mysticism. The Bending types are Waterbending, Earthbending, Firebending, and Airbending.

In each generation, one person is capable of Bending all four elements; this is the Avatar, the spirit of the planet manifested in human form. -Read more
This cartoon was introduce to me last two years ago and just got a chance to watch again this time since I got no chance to watch the third book. The last episode is when Aang got hit by Azula’s lightning where he was severely wounded although he’s not totally dead. And now I continue watching this cartoon.

It is so amazing, the concept, the characters, the voice actors—Zuko’s voices actor is a Filipino, Dante Basco, I’m sure all of you know it already—the settings, and even the animation, it’s looks like an anime—well it’s not an anime though as the creators told us so—it’s very intellectual, and fun—the adventures, and especially the lesson that the children can get while watching this cartoon.

If you guys really like Avatar the Last Airbender, here’s the link where you can watch the season. Click here. I am very thankful to Glenndel who has added my link to hers, because in her blog I found this link, thanks… So enjoy and have fun watching the Avatar guys… see you next time.

Clannad the Movie

Before I watched this anime movie I was really bored and no trip at all, it was like weighing a big problem. And I even couldn’t go out in my room and I feel so tired and sleepy. But since I also don’t feel going to the mall, so I just decided to stream the internet and watch some movie. This movie is a very girly type and I even think to stop watching this. But during the middle part of the story I found something interesting so I keep watching. I saw the main character with his drunken father and I realize that there is something good and bad going to happen on this movie.

This movie was unexpectedly very interesting and dramatic movie. I was thinking that this movie was like fantasy, I haven’t watched the series yet when I watched this, but anyway I was wrong it was a very dramatic anime movie I’ve ever seen so far. I almost cry. Huhuhuh.

Ok let’s skip that part, since he had a bad childhood memories Ukazaki almost turned like his father after the same accident as her mother die. And that was so disappointing. It’s like history repeating itself. Good thing it ended well.

I recommend this movie for you to watch. This is a drama though, but what is the important is that there is a lesson you can get after watching this. And this is not just a plain drama. This is usually happens to some people’s live, especially if they belong to a broken family. Everything can still be changed even your hopes and dreams are already gone. You just have to accept everything and look forward.

Here are some screenshots from the movie Clannad.

Speed Racer Movie

I have watched speed racer last two week but couldn’t to write some entry about it. But today since I’m free I’ll write a review.

Speed Racer as we all know it is a famous sport genre anime way back 90’s that is as far as I can remember but as is it written in wikipedia it is been published way back early 70’s but anyway the story I think is still based on the anime series. I watched Speed racer when I was a child I think I was in kindergarten so I can vaguely remember the whole story but here in crunchyroll they are uploading again the whole series.

As I was Speed racer I was a bit unsatisfied at first especially the first part of the movie it’s like they don’t have sufficient funds to do the film, the cinematography is a bit off. The setting as well is like out of this world. Spritle and chim-chim are so stupid and their scene is not really necessary especially when they are in the factory. Why do they put something like that? And they also use fake people and it’s very obvious. Speed racer should have been a good movie if they didn’t put exaggerated scenes. And other thing the fighting scene is so degrading and it’s not even funny. I like the racing part though.

But as to the story it has indeed a meaningful lesson. I have fun watching this film. It’s very nostalgic. I remember my childhood days while watching this film. I keep thinking about Ricci’s first name, all I can think of michelle but in fact it is Christina. I guess I really have a poor memory, but the last movie I saw Christina Ricci as far as I can remember is in Casper the friendly ghost. Hehehe. I was anticipating Rain’s performance here and he perform well and acted naturally.

Here’s a review from other viewer.

Take the artistic elements of this movie, and put it together with the amazing cast (both looks and talent) and throw it together with a very different but coherent plot, and you’ve got yourself an extremely enjoyable movie that is definitely worth seeing. And seeing at the theater no less! My hats off to The Wachowski Brothers, and the rest of the cast and crew for putting together something different for a change. –PulpFromDogs  Read more…

For the movie I give 9/10 for its rating. I recommend to all of you. GO!

An anime adaptation by AIC A.S.T.A was broadcast in Japan between October 2, 2007 and April 2, 2008 on TV Tokyo. Lovekuja’s review

Story: It was pretty much like every other school anime. Characters do something for a few episodes and then move to something else. Blade Braver was a great way to add some feeling of a on-going story.

Art: The animation was not anything special and was pretty much like most other anime. The drawing style and colors won me over.

Sound: Soundtrack was good. Voices were good. Opening and ending themes were good. I’m not complaining.

Character: I liked …the characters, well most of them. Tamaki was just super cute, she was the reason I began watching this show. Kirino was an awesome character too. When she’d get sad, you knew something was seriously at miss. I seriously wanted to kill Dan-kun, but I believe that was the original purpose of this character anyway. That american chick messing with Miya-miya seriously also annoyed me.

Enjoyment: I enjoyed this show. Full of comedy and an occasional touch of epic, girls screaming men, do and kote was kinda awesome. They also managed to put some good drama here and there.

Overall: Very shonen. Surely anyone into sports or school anime will get something out of this show.

My discussion:

Bamboo Blade has a captivating genre. No one will ever imagine how the creator portrays a simple story yet still made a pretty interesting and unique plot. With this kind of genre (sport) anime will looks a little dull because of a limited scene. You cannot exaggerate their capability to act which most of the anime do. I had read an article which anime had an odd law regarding on how anime characters acts especially when they are on a fight scene. That just inconsiderable when you talk about sport genre because in reality no one can really suffer so much injury yet still manage to stand. But in this anime it is well developed there is no need to put some exaggerated effects just to attract the audience.

Anyway, as a teenager Tamaki (one of the lead character) she participate as the leader of the kendo club, which has only have a few yet lovely members, and in house she had to some household choir which nowadays, most children do not do anymore. She also has a very childhood attitude (she loves watching her favorite superhero, braver, like most children do. But she still holds on a big responsibility as an heir and inspiration to her group members. She is well trained by her parents and even in their own dojo she has a good reputation that is why in kendo, she never loses her composure during the fight, and even feeling very confident. Although Tamaki looks very small and weak but whenever she carries with her the wooden sword her characteristic changes. She becomes someone else people will never expects she will be. In kendo one thing she never wants to forgive is to cheat. However, as a child she never loses to anybody especially in kendo that is why it’s hard for her to accept loses. Nevertheless, by her parent’s guardian and her comrades’ motivation she still continues to improve and accept her loss.

have you seen some cat in any other anime?
