Anime News: Naruto Died!

Spoiler alert! This entry may contain spoiler.

Two weeks ago I watch Naruto shippuuden Movie where naruto struggle for his live. In this movie he was foretold to die. But I wonder what will happen to the series if Naruto dies.

Hmmm… as I watched it the story is like the usual episode where they are assigned to a mission. However the difference is Neji is the team leader, well that make the story somewhat unusual, and their team up was nice, they are just bunch of kid, not an ordinary kid though… hehehe.

Anyway this movie this is about a priestess that holds the power to seal the demon who has the capability to destroy the world of shinobi. Being a priestess is not what she intended to be but as an heir she was trained to seal the demon which escaped from the seal and that is why she acts like a brat, if not because of her Naruto would have been alive. Well, after all she’s the main part of the story. Naruto feels anxious when he knew he is going to die. However as far as the mission is concern—and as the usual Naruto character He promised to, in his way of ninja, to protect the priestess since he absolutely understand why she acted that way—Naruto still strived to complete their mission without any casualties. But guess what? Naruto make a record! Just watch the movie. Hehehehe.

By the way, in that movie I think I saw Temari why is that so? Did shikimaru and Temari already in a relationship? I just wonder why she is there. Well let’s look forward to that.

I enjoyed watching this movie, the fighting scene, the plot, the character combination rather than the previous movie, the animal riot in crescent moon. But I was hoping to see naruto gone wild like in the series. But I guess the creators don’t want that to happen, though… heheh

As for the movie I gave 4 out of 5. Well I still prefer the series.

Clannad the Movie

Before I watched this anime movie I was really bored and no trip at all, it was like weighing a big problem. And I even couldn’t go out in my room and I feel so tired and sleepy. But since I also don’t feel going to the mall, so I just decided to stream the internet and watch some movie. This movie is a very girly type and I even think to stop watching this. But during the middle part of the story I found something interesting so I keep watching. I saw the main character with his drunken father and I realize that there is something good and bad going to happen on this movie.

This movie was unexpectedly very interesting and dramatic movie. I was thinking that this movie was like fantasy, I haven’t watched the series yet when I watched this, but anyway I was wrong it was a very dramatic anime movie I’ve ever seen so far. I almost cry. Huhuhuh.

Ok let’s skip that part, since he had a bad childhood memories Ukazaki almost turned like his father after the same accident as her mother die. And that was so disappointing. It’s like history repeating itself. Good thing it ended well.

I recommend this movie for you to watch. This is a drama though, but what is the important is that there is a lesson you can get after watching this. And this is not just a plain drama. This is usually happens to some people’s live, especially if they belong to a broken family. Everything can still be changed even your hopes and dreams are already gone. You just have to accept everything and look forward.

Here are some screenshots from the movie Clannad.

Speed Racer Movie

I have watched speed racer last two week but couldn’t to write some entry about it. But today since I’m free I’ll write a review.

Speed Racer as we all know it is a famous sport genre anime way back 90’s that is as far as I can remember but as is it written in wikipedia it is been published way back early 70’s but anyway the story I think is still based on the anime series. I watched Speed racer when I was a child I think I was in kindergarten so I can vaguely remember the whole story but here in crunchyroll they are uploading again the whole series.

As I was Speed racer I was a bit unsatisfied at first especially the first part of the movie it’s like they don’t have sufficient funds to do the film, the cinematography is a bit off. The setting as well is like out of this world. Spritle and chim-chim are so stupid and their scene is not really necessary especially when they are in the factory. Why do they put something like that? And they also use fake people and it’s very obvious. Speed racer should have been a good movie if they didn’t put exaggerated scenes. And other thing the fighting scene is so degrading and it’s not even funny. I like the racing part though.

But as to the story it has indeed a meaningful lesson. I have fun watching this film. It’s very nostalgic. I remember my childhood days while watching this film. I keep thinking about Ricci’s first name, all I can think of michelle but in fact it is Christina. I guess I really have a poor memory, but the last movie I saw Christina Ricci as far as I can remember is in Casper the friendly ghost. Hehehe. I was anticipating Rain’s performance here and he perform well and acted naturally.

Here’s a review from other viewer.

Take the artistic elements of this movie, and put it together with the amazing cast (both looks and talent) and throw it together with a very different but coherent plot, and you’ve got yourself an extremely enjoyable movie that is definitely worth seeing. And seeing at the theater no less! My hats off to The Wachowski Brothers, and the rest of the cast and crew for putting together something different for a change. –PulpFromDogs  Read more…

For the movie I give 9/10 for its rating. I recommend to all of you. GO!

The girl who leapt through time

A manga story, set as a prelude to the film, is the basis of the film, but the film is not a movie version of the book. Instead, the film is set as a continuation of the book in the same setting some twenty years later.

Plot:

Makoto Konno, a girl attending high school in Tokyo’s shitamachi, gains the power to go back in time and re-do things (the time-leap) when she gets involved in an accident at a train crossing one day…

Review:

“The Girl Who Leapt through Time” is anime of rare pedigree. Director Mamoru Hosoda, the Ghibli refugee originally slated to helm Howl’s Moving Castle, Gainax’s master character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and longtime Ghibli art director Nizo Yamamoto coming together at Madhouse to adapt a story by Paprika author Yasutaka Tsutsui? Sounds like it should be absolute magic… and it very nearly is.

The Girl Who Leapt through Time has more in common with some of the best shoujo manga than Tsutsui’s other recently-animated work Paprika. The maturity, the gravity, and the deep symbolism of the latter has been replaced here with the wistful buoyancy that only the Japanese seem to be able to associate with high school. The winding, narrow streets of suburban Tokyo haven’t looked this gorgeous since Whisper of the Heart.

The good news is that the rest of the film is so much fun that this seems likes a minor concern. The characters, Makoto and Chiaki in particular, are so lovable that spending time with them is a joy. Makoto, with all her high-spirited but thoughtless energy, feels like Sana-chan from Kodocha grown up. Chiaki feels like a shoujo version of Ichigo from Bleach. Voices supplied by live action teen actors Riisa Naka (from the Japanese drama version of My Boss, My Hero) and Takuya Ishida (Night Time Picnic) lend just the right amount of realism (I much prefer this approach to voice acting over the use of traditional seiyuu). Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s sumptuous linework takes simple curves and makes them so compelling, we’d be content if the characters did nothing but sit there.

As Makoto jumps, she learns more and more about what the people around her are really thinking, and how much of a self-absorbed bubble she’s been living in. The lessons she learns about herself and her friends are heartwarming and triumphant. If only the conclusion could have taken the ball and run with it, we could have had a masterpiece. But instead, we’ll have to settle for “great.” Like Makoto, we’ll just have to deal with it.

My review:

It is very interesting, unique and touching story about friendship, love, and decisions. In the story, Makoto is a very simple kind of girl with her two friends that is always playing catch after school, but after the incident, that give her the ability to leap through time. She has been altering everything making their friendship fail. And in the end she’s the one who suffers most because as she changes one thing it affects everything around her. Everything she did is not as good as she thinks it is.

The morale of the story is that, as written, “Time waits for no one.” That time is irreversible, inevitable and it continuously moving on that can’t wait for anything. There are things that should need to be fix from the past, however you cannot go back to alter something, but instead you can decide whether live with the past or change the present to make the future desirable.

The animation is somewhat fair. But the plot makes it a perfect movie. I just can’t help but acknowledge the movie. It may have less visual effects but as it portrays the story, it is understandable. Although, I’m just a bit confused if the setting only happens in a day or two. And one thing, why does she always blasts in the garbage or in the wall, why can’t she just leap and land safely? Just wondering though.. anyway, for the rating I give 5/5…
