Another CGI Animated Series: Blassreiter

Episode 1: Prelude to Despair

Episode summary:

A few years ago in a motorbike race, a Demoniac attacks German policeman stationed at the racing track before it took control of an ambulance and attacked several of the competitors. Motorbike star Gerd Frentzen faces off against the Demoniac before armed XAT officers cordon the area. Source

Discussion:

It’s a good anime, it’s a bit unclear though. But I guess it worth watching. However this anime is mixed with CGI animation that is why some people will not fully appreciate this kind of anime, it’s like zoid, or dragonaut resonance, nevertheless the story is somehow interesting, well as a first impression. But who knows, since this one is newly aired in Japan, and many viewer said that they like this anime, maybe the next few episode will give us more information about this anime…

This anime has a new kind of concept they use motor racer, for a change with a combination of machine and cyborg. I’ve seen anime with this kind knight savers and ghost in the shell per se. it was a good anime also. But pure animation would be much better if you will compare it and pure CGI would also be much better like final fantasy VII, I have watched that movie and their fighting scene are good, cinematography are impressive. Story as well is very outstanding; well it’s inspired from the PS2 game, final fantasy VII.

I hope there are a lot more to come, in terms of their story and cinematography.

Some picture from the scene:

What do you think; still want to watch the series? I guess you will… heheheh…

After watching this anime I’ve been looking for some related article that talks about Blassreiter, while researching I found this interesting article about the Indonesia’s Borobudur Temple – well you can say that this blog is about anime, however it doesn’t limit its scope to anime alone. Anime belongs to the category art and/or entertainment. Therefore I can also include some architecture, since architecture is also an art. And for me, as an anime fanatic and architecture graduate, it is very useful for me invest something that can benefit not just my eyes but at the same time my mind. To read some article about world’s history of architecture is useful and informative. And even in anime architecture can be found. In Card Captor Sakura, they feature the Tokyo Tower, so you cannot say that architecture is not related to anime. Hehehe.. – this will broaden our mind about other countries architecture and understand and appreciate them well, since every country represents its own architecture.

The Borobudur Temple in Indonesia, this is about the article that I have read the tour and travel to Indonesia. Their discussion about Borobudur is very informative. The Origin of Borobudur and how it was formed, it was clearly stated. It gives me a historical background of Indonesia particularly Borobudur, which can guide me in visiting the place. So whenever I’ll have the time and money I’m pretty sure I can truly appreciate their architecture, thanks to Tour and Travel Info, they give me something that an ordinary tour guide could sometimes miss.

Kanda’s Big Fight

Allen, Lavi, Lenalee, Krory, and Kanda went inside the Noah’s ark. Now given the key for their exit, they look in every door which the key can open. In a room they found Skin Boric which is waiting for their arrival. Kanda insist to stay behind to fight Skin. I never expect that Skin would really be that strong, well he’s really stupid though, and his body seems not affected to any attacts that Kanda give him. Even Kanda shows his third and final illusion just to finish off Skin even it means to give up his own life. Kanda really, for the first time, faces the Noah Clan a very strong opponent that he never really expected. But I hope he will not die, or he is to die then at least the creator should replace a cooler character that him or else there’ll be chaos. Well I’m not fond of kanda but I like his character because it makes the series complete.

Kanda’s face really looks cool, see below for the clips from d.gray-man, he become emotional after the fight of Skin Boric. I wonder what will happen to him. Kanda is a good character of the shows. He’s somewhat like Vincent in Ghost Fighter, Dilan in Flame of Recca, and Aya in Knight of hunters.

Kanda and Allen become friends in an unusual way. Kanda suspect Allen as an akuma(demon) on the 2nd episode of d.gray-man but they made a good team up during their mission in the ghost of Mateel, though they did not have a hundred percent cooperation but their intention makes the mission complete. That is why Kanda would be a big loss if he will be gone. Huhuhuh…

Let’s watch the video…

Tamaki-chan’s bamboo blade

About Bamboo blade:

Bamboo Blade is a Japanese manga series written by Masahiro Totsuka, and illustrated by Aguri Igarashi. The manga was first serialized in the Japanese seinen manga magazine Young Gangan starting December 3, 2004. The manga has been licensed for distribution in North America by Yen Press. An anime adaptation by AIC A.S.T.A was broadcast in Japan between October 2, 2007 and April 2, 2008 on TV Tokyo. The series tells the story of a Toraji Ishida, a luckless high school Kendo instructor, who is challenged by his former upperclassman, also a kendo instructor, to a competition between their female students. Plot Summary:

His friend and fellow kendo teacher makes him a bet: if Ishida can assemble a girls’ kendo team that can defeat his girls’ team in a practice match, he’ll treat Ishida to free meals at his father’s sushi restaurant for a whole year. Lovekuja’s review

Story: It was pretty much like every other school anime. Characters do something for a few episodes and then move to something else. Blade Braver was a great way to add some feeling of a on-going story.

Art: The animation was not anything special and was pretty much like most other anime. The drawing style and colors won me over.

Sound: Soundtrack was good. Voices were good. Opening and ending themes were good. I’m not complaining.

Character: I liked …the characters, well most of them. Tamaki was just super cute, she was the reason I began watching this show. Kirino was an awesome character too. When she’d get sad, you knew something was seriously at miss. I seriously wanted to kill Dan-kun, but I believe that was the original purpose of this character anyway. That american chick messing with Miya-miya seriously also annoyed me.

Enjoyment: I enjoyed this show. Full of comedy and an occasional touch of epic, girls screaming men, do and kote was kinda awesome. They also managed to put some good drama here and there.

Overall: Very shonen. Surely anyone into sports or school anime will get something out of this show.

My discussion:

Bamboo Blade has a captivating genre. No one will ever imagine how the creator portrays a simple story yet still made a pretty interesting and unique plot. With this kind of genre (sport) anime will looks a little dull because of a limited scene. You cannot exaggerate their capability to act which most of the anime do. I had read an article which anime had an odd law regarding on how anime characters acts especially when they are on a fight scene. That just inconsiderable when you talk about sport genre because in reality no one can really suffer so much injury yet still manage to stand. But in this anime it is well developed there is no need to put some exaggerated effects just to attract the audience.

Anyway, as a teenager Tamaki (one of the lead character) she participate as the leader of the kendo club, which has only have a few yet lovely members, and in house she had to some household choir which nowadays, most children do not do anymore. She also has a very childhood attitude (she loves watching her favorite superhero, braver, like most children do. But she still holds on a big responsibility as an heir and inspiration to her group members. She is well trained by her parents and even in their own dojo she has a good reputation that is why in kendo, she never loses her composure during the fight, and even feeling very confident. Although Tamaki looks very small and weak but whenever she carries with her the wooden sword her characteristic changes. She becomes someone else people will never expects she will be. In kendo one thing she never wants to forgive is to cheat. However, as a child she never loses to anybody especially in kendo that is why it’s hard for her to accept loses. Nevertheless, by her parent’s guardian and her comrades’ motivation she still continues to improve and accept her loss.

have you seen some cat in any other anime?

Espada Vs Hollow

It’s been a while since I watch bleach. Now I tried to look for the newest episode in crunchyroll but it was removed. So I try to look in my other source and there it is. Kurosaki fight again with Grimmjow in episode 165. Watch the video. Now Ichigo shows his trumph card his hollow form. This fighting scene is pretty massive and so exaggerated. I wonder what will happen to mere human if it will be crushed like that. LOL! Ichigo in his hollow form is much serious and flexible, I mean his character, his height really fits in his bankai form, but take not note he even don’t have to say bankai just to transform himself into bankai state. As usual he still has his emotional part, especially when it comes to his ally. Grimmjow’s outfit is weird, and he looks like a gay. Heheh,

In episode 166, Ichigo still fights the Espada, with his level it is as if he is an Espada. But there is still a bit different about Ichigo’s level and Grimmjow’s level. I know Grimmjow is a powerful villain but Ichigo is far much powerful than Grimmjow, that is for sure. In the ending part, Ichigo said ‘I can’t afford any injuries anymore’ that means he is still not serious fighting Grimmjow even he is beating up. But anyway, did you notice how Ichigo reacted when he heard Inoue—take note again Inoue is in a far distance about 100 meters away yet he still hear exactly what she said, not after she shout—telling him to stop? And right after that his mood changes, then the battle ends. Do you guys know why Ichigo hears what Inoue said? Is the word of Inoue very powerful than anyone else? Or is it just Ichigo protecting Inoue because he loves her that much? What about Rukia? I’m just confuse about Ichigo, I keep wondering who he really like.

Next week the conclusion of their battle.

Clown and Auguste

Allen engages in the battle in episode 75. Watch video. In this episode Allen become a lot stronger than the previous episodes, his innocence also develop into a hundred percent synchronization. His stances are pretty amazing, his reflexes is more faster than before, in short the Allen we know in the past is no longer the Allen we know in the present.

In the past episode, it was stated that Gen. Cross steal the ark from the Earl which Road had to make another one because, if the ark is being used by the humans it will no longer their. However, Earl and Allen has something that the creator had in mind—I don’t read manga though that is why I don’t have any idea about what will happen next or even about the relation of Earl and Allen—anyway, if there is a relation between Allen and Earl or not, that we should wait until then. But for the time being let’s just focused on what is going on in the episode.

By the way, Allen and Kanda meet again, as usual in a very odd situation, no wonder Kanda always pissed off. Hehehe. However, their reunion didn’t last long, because Lenalee once again caught by the noah, that weird talking umbrella—let’s call Relo—which the Earl can use it as a weapon, I wonder what really is, Anyway bring inside the noah’s ark which will in a short span of time, about a day, it will be totally destroyed and the download the Road is talking to will be finish and by that time the a biggest war will happen.

On the other hand all of Noah’s clan is a bit childish. Skin Boric per se, he looks retarded. He only cares about sweet things and he acts in a very stupid way. Both the twins are also weird and even Tyki sometimes acts a mere human. I wonder how they were born or converted into a noah clan. Because I think he really is a human, back in some episode, if we can recall he’s a bit concerned about his fellow human. And he even gives the exorcists the key for them to get out from the ark.

And lastly there is a new character to be introduced in the next few episodes. Another exorcist for sure and new villain will arise. So let’s just stay tune for now, and join me in discussing this anime and share some ideas about the story and trivias, not the spoiler though. hehehe
